We invite you to come along to see the SUPERHERO SCARECROWS around Bramhall village between the 26 th August and the 15th September.
Billy Bow and Bella are inviting all their SuperHero friends to come for a fun time so bring your own SuperHero Scarecrow for judging on Saturday 15 th September.
Judging will take place at various venues around the village with prizes to be won in four categories
– The Village Square for schools, clubs and childrens organisations such as brownies, scouts
– The forecourt of the Methodist church for family and individual entries
– Tableaux for groups of Scarecrows and
– local shops and offices will both be judged in situ.
If you wish you can get a creation kit for just £20 or re-enter last year’s model for £10. To create a Tableaux the costs are £35 two kits, £45 three kits and just £50 four kits. They can be obtained by contacting Maggie at angularelbows@gmail.com You have free rein to dress your scarecrow however you like but with the SuperHero theme. Props are allowed. Or you can make your own scarecrow and enter the competition for just £10.
Shops and businesses are being encouraged to display their scarecrows outside their premises for three weeks from 26 th August for shoppers to enjoy and attract people to our lovely village centre. Who will be first to spot Billy Bow with Bella and the twins, Bobby and Belinda? Out and about every day!
We are very pleased to announce that this event is being supported by Redrow Homes who are currently developing the Woodford Garden Village and #EXPLOREBramhall – 24 local businesses coming together encouraging you to explore the independent shops in Bramhall village.
There will be music and dance throughout the village from 12noon on the final Saturday including the superheroes of Walthew House Steel Band, mystifying magicians, sweet saxophones, Bramhall School of Dancing and more.
Plus there will be a trail for the kids to follow with a prize goody bag at the end.
